Wednesday Night Programming
Dinnertime on Wednesdays brings a gathering of members and friends of all ages to First Unitarian. Enjoy a buffet-style dinner
prepared by volunteer guest chefs. These multi-generational evenings of food and fellowship are accompanied by a wide variety of
programming for children, youth and adults. Childcare is available for little ones under age five. Beginning at 5:30, the dinner is offered for $5 for adults, $2 for children, with a maximum of $14 for families. Wednesday Night Programming occurs weekly from September - May. Tai Chi (7:00 - 7:45 pm)
Tai Chi is sometimes referred to as Chinese yoga or moving meditation. The style taught in this class is the 60-movement Yang family form of Grand Master William C.C. Chen, who has taught it in New York City for nearly 60 years. His teacher, Chen Man Chiang, is credited with introducing Tai Chi to the West. Bill Dunlop, who will lead the class, has studied under Grand Master Chen for a number of years.
Tai Chi is credited with providing numerous health benefits to those who practice regularly, including a stronger immune system, benefits to the cardio-vascular system, better balance and increased energy flow. It is not unusual in China for Tai Chi teachers to live to be over 100 years old!

Camp Fire USA with Sarah Graves
There are many treasures in the great outdoors that our youth can discover and enjoy. This regular Wednesday Night Group for kids will teach them skills in team building, hiking and camping, hunting and fishing, outdoor cooking, plant and animal identification, and art using natural materials. Our environment is a wonderful place that should be protected and the more it is appreciated the more likely it is to be protected. The group will be chartered as a Camp Fire USA club in order to provide valuable curriculum and resources.
